Personal Information Both Robin and Barbara are natives of Virginia, giving their clients the benefit of decades of experience with the area. Robin comes to real estate from a successful career in management. She honed her detail, business and customer relation skills for twelve years in this arena and then moved on to the "family business" of real estate. "My grandfather was a real estate broker and my mother had followed him into that profession," reveals Robin. "I guess it had always been in my blood." Robin's mother, Barbara was, indeed, firmly rooted in the real estate industry. Her first job was working as an accountant for the local real estate board. She had just come from George Washington University where she had studied accounting and was putting that education to work. Because the board was just forming at the time, Barbara had the opportunity to work on drafting that organization's rules and regulations, policies and procedures. This has given her a unique understanding of the inner workings of real estate and gives her clients the added assurance that their transactions are solid.
