About Gordon Wood

As a lifetime resident of Northern Virginia, Gordon offers his clients the benefit of 38 years of real estate experience and extensive knowledge of the area. Gordon received his bachelor’s degree in Economics in 1986 from Mary Washington College and studied International Economics at the University of Salzburg in Salzburg, Austria. He became a licensed REALTOR® in 1986 and received a Broker’s license shortly thereafter in 1991, at the age of 27.

He lives in Alexandria with his wife, Lauren, and they have four daughters. Throughout the years, Gordon has been recognized for his outstanding performance, commitment, and dedication to the industry. He became an NVAR Lifetime Top producer in 2001 at the age of 37 and has sold over $500 million in real estate since then. Gordon currently holds these professional designations: Associate Broker Life Member, NVAR Million Dollar Sales Club * Life Member, NVAR Top Producer * Life Member, NVAR Top Producer $10+ million. Gordon's reputation speaks for itself. Listing homes is his first love in real estate. In addition, he is a fine buyer representative. He has never considered his job “selling houses to clients”. As a buyer broker, he simply helps them make the best decision possible.

He has owned many rental properties and has renovated over twenty homes during his career. He understands the local market and understands the real estate industry like the back of his hand. Gordon is now an empty nester and will continue as a full-time real estate agent here in Northern Virginia. He will build on all that experience, a driven personality, strong negotiating skills, a love for the community, and a special desire to help older folks downsize and move on from their family homes. *Agents who attain membership in the Million Dollar Sales Club for 10 years receive Lifetime Status; Lifetime NVAR Top Producer shall be given to members who have attained Top Producer status for a total of FIVE (5) years cumulative since 1978.
