As a Jersey girl who relocated to the Washington, DC area five decades ago and has lived in Maryland, DC, and Virginia, I witnessed firsthand all this area has to offer – from the rolling hills surrounding small towns in Virginia to the almost never-stop energy of Washington, DC. My intimate knowledge of this region, and my experiences of having lived here most of my adult life, have given me an enthusiasm and a desire to make my home, your home. Truly, I love this area and I love my career!
After earning my BS from The University of Maryland, I worked as the Corporate Fitness Program Director for the YMCA of Metropolitan Washington. Later I owned and managed two fitness clubs in Northern Virginia and was a certified Personal Trainer, serving over thirty clients a week. My career path shifted to real estate beginning with six years of experience as a Licensed Real Estate Appraiser and three years as an Assessor in the Loudoun County Assessor’s Office (please don’t hold that against me). Then I gained experience as an investor, buying properties to renovate, wholesale, or buy and hold.
In the late 90s, my husband and I moved to Middleburg Virginia, and raised our two fabulous sons, who are outstanding young men in the fields of Business Finance and Home Construction. Our youngest son, Noah, and his wife are living in Middleburg, and Aaron, the oldest, is in Charlotte, North Carolina in finance. We have 2 dogs, barn cats, and 12 chickens still at home.
My true area of expertise is working with buyers. Having bought many properties during my career I know all the ins and outs of the transaction and can handle any buyer successfully through the process. What a service it is to help someone find a house that they will make their home. My second love is working with investors, they are motivated and quick decision-makers. Knowing ROI, Cap Rates and the 2% rule guarantees that when we are working together, I will help you quickly realize your Real Estate investment goals.
My enthusiasm for helping others, my communications skills, and my follow-through have enabled me to connect with clients and provide them with the best real estate services possible. When I’m not assisting my real estate clients, I enjoy walking, gardening (doing anything outside – shoveling snow, raking leaves, weeding, etc) volunteering at church, with our local scout troop, and with the Middleburg Community Charter School. Hobbies include reading, sewing, watching movies, hiking, and rock climbing.
Please, let me help you find your new HOME!
