Genevieve's passion for real estate began when she was very young. She endlessly drew pictures of dream homes to scale, including mockup remodeling of her parent’s home. With an innovative eye for design and architecture, she looked at buildings and spaces and envisioned how they should be instead of how they were. She has always valued the importance of restoration and renovation, seeking to bring life back into homes by sharing her vision with her clients in Northern Virginia. Genevieve carries the philosophy that owning real estate is one of the single best investments one can make toward future wealth, which has been clearly demonstrated through the satisfaction of her clients throughout the area.
In 2002, after graduating from Old Dominion University, Genevieve was inspired to begin her very own real estate investment company. 49th Street Development, LLC, began in order to revive many homes around the Norfolk, Virginia area that had been previously overlooked by the housing market. As a thriving area for college students and families, Genevieve was inspired by the potential of these homes, many of which were built in the 1930s and 40s. She began restoring life to properties around the Norfolk and Virginia Beach areas.
When Genevieve moved back to Alexandria, VA, she worked for a nationally recognized property management company and was awarded their 2008 leasing excellence award for the Mid-Atlantic region. In her position at the company, Genevieve was well-known for her distinct ability to cultivate goodwill among the community’s residents and for her sharp eye for property management and inspection issues. Genevieve joined McEnearney and Associates in 2011, bringing her strong interpersonal skills and very detail-oriented and technical abilities to her work with her clients.
With a strong vision of the future and a thorough understanding of the housing market, Genevieve recognizes the potential in private and commercial real estate. This talent allows her to help her clients see beyond brick and mortar, and instead see how a space can truly become a home.
A native of Boston, MA, Genevieve currently resides in Alexandria, VA, with her fiancée, two dogs, and one extremely vocal cat. When she is not reimagining the spaces around her and finding the perfect home for her clients, she spends her time decorating, entertaining friends and family, and working with local animal shelters. Genevieve was recently awarded a U.S. patent for an invention and looks forward to bringing this product onto the market. She has achieved “Million Dollar Sales Club” for generating over $3 million in sales volume.
