Originally from Oklahoma City, Ellie moved east to attend the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she earned her degree in public relations and journalism. She relocated to the DC metro area soon after graduation and quickly fell in love with both the region and with her husband, John, a DC native. They are the proud parents of two adult children: Jack, who leads The Shorb Team at Corcoran McEnearney, and Catherine, who is pursuing a neuroscience degree in Florida.

Deeply connected to her Kenwood community, Ellie is an active supporter of local organizations, volunteer initiatives, and charitable efforts. Outside of real estate, she loves playing guitar, reading, and Mah Jongg with the girls. She and John enjoy traveling for both work and pleasure and taking advantage of the dynamic culture and rich neighborhoods that make the DC metro area such a vibrant place to call home.
