What brings a real estate entrepreneur from the capital city of Vienna, Austria to the Capital Region of Washington, DC? In the case of Peter Pejacsevich, it was Middleburg’s gorgeous landscapes, a strong sense of heritage and history, and a cosmopolitan energy thanks to its proximity to DC’s thriving hub that made Hunt Country the perfect destination for a new kind of real estate adventure.
As a REALTOR®, Peter led the successful Atoka Properties team with partner Scott Buzzelli before striking out on their own in 2008 by acquiring Middleburg Real Estate, a venerable brokerage with a history stretching back to 1939. After successfully managing Middleburg Real Estate | Atoka Properties from its founding to the pinnacle of success in Hunt Country real estate – growing to more than 80 agents and four thriving offices – and personally representing some of Northern Virginia’s finest residential and commercial properties, Peter is shepherding the next evolution of the brokerage and its 2023 merger with McEnearney Associates, a powerhouse independent brokerage in the DMV with sales above $2B in 2022.
On the combined forces of the new brokerage and the way the agent & client cultures complement one another, Peter remains focused on creating a culture of collaboration, energy, new ideas and, as always, a commitment to delivering the best guidance and support for agents and exceptional client services. “Our cultures fit in a way that brings out the best in our agents and will be attractive to discerning clients who want an upscale, concierge experience no matter what price point they are working with.”
Peter sits on the Board of Directors of the Piedmont Fox Hounds and is a passionate race car driver. Fluent in both German and English, he welcomes the opportunity to work with colleagues and clients from around the world through the firm’s connection with The Corcoran Group.
