About Joe O'Hara

Since becoming a licensed REALTOR® in 2004, Joe has assisted many wonderful buyers and sellers and worked with the best real estate partners in the Capital Region. Throughout his career, whether the local housing market has been in a fast-paced frenzy or a lull, Joe's business has prospered thanks in large part to generous referrals from current and past clients, friends, family, and colleagues.
Prior to real estate, Joe was Vice President of Information Technology at Washington Mortgage Group (WMG) for seven years and a Project Manager at Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) for 10 years, where he directed several key efforts for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH). He brought his strong organizational and project management skills into real estate, which helps to streamline his clients' transactions.

Joe's sharp negotiation skills, attention to detail, and in-depth local market knowledge are delivered by a personable demeanor sprinkled with a bit of humor. Joe is a Northern Virginia native raised in McLean and attended George Mason University, where he received a degree in Economics. Since 2014, Joe has lived in the Brambleton community of Ashburn in Loudoun County.

When he is not helping his clients, Joe enjoys spending quality time with his family and friends, visiting a great restaurant, traveling to Cape Cod, and having an afternoon in Annapolis. An avid runner, Joe has completed several full and half marathons and enjoys participating in charity events throughout the year.
