109 S Pitt St,Besides experience and market knowledge, patience is huge, as is intuition to really know what a client wants. Courtney couples these qualities with h3 project management skills to make the process smooth and efficient, and savvy negotiating that gets the best price and terms. It’s no wonder clients love working with her, knowing she is there to serve in any capacity.
“I have the ability to drive the real estate process and bring a transaction to close, with hard work and no shortage of humor along the way. If we’re not having a little fun, especially during the home search, something is wrong. I like developing a real friendship with my clients while educating them openly and honestly on what they need to know. I can’t see doing it any other way.”
A licensed Virginia real estate sales agent associated with Corcoran McEnearney since 2012, Courtney loves working with buyers in the Alexandria area, exploring neighborhoods and homes filtering down to what best serves their wants, needs, and budget. In this competitive marketplace, she’s right in there with them holding their hand and answering questions all along the way. When representing sellers, Courtney is all in managing A to Z, from preparing the home for sale with recommended updates to managing contractors, staging & marketing, contract negotiations & finally closing.
Courtney spent over two decades in the fundraising and software arena working with leading national and international non-profits in a sales, marketing, project management, and consulting capacity. Courtney also consulted at National Public Radio (NPR), managing senior-level teams in an extensive restructure and development of new fundraising practices. Given her work experience, selling real estate couldn’t be a better fit.
Raised in Chicago’s North Shore, Courtney graduated with a BA in Sociology from California State University, Long Beach, focusing on statistics and computer programming. After 20 years of living in the Boston area, her consulting services brought her to the DC area. Once she discovered Old Town, with its architecture and history harkening back to New England, she knew she was home.
Courtney has volunteered as a reading tutor for Wright to Read in Alexandria, VA for the past 5 years. Having been paired with the same student for 3 years now, she says “It’s amazing how the tutoring relationship can transition into such a meaningful friendship. That’s when real progress is made.
Also, for over 2+ years during Covid, Courtney delivered Meals on Wheels and volunteered twice a week at the Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC).
