Brett West is the founder and team lead for the #UrbanCastle Team at Corcoran McEnearney REALTORS®. Our professional expertise has spanned a vast array of market conditions – some of the best of times and some of the most challenging since the Great Depression. It is working through the unknown in each real estate transaction where we are at our best. We combine expert real estate knowledge, client care, and contract management with experience from prior careers, including training and working with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). We are proven in identifying and proposing several routes around challenges so our clients are empowered to choose the solutions that make the best sense for them. Since 2017, we have invested in video technology to serve the best interests of our clients. For our sellers, our #VideoOpenHouses tell a story beyond the capabilities of our professionally shot photos and slideshows. These polished videos provide a virtual tour of the property, offering a sense of layout inside and outside of the home, as well as the proportions of each property. For our buyers and tenants, for whom it is sometimes impossible to tour properties in person, our exclusive #HomePreviewVideo is accompanied by candid commentary that neither photos nor video alone can provide - specifically: smells and sounds. This practice proved successful for clients living outside the DC Metro Area, who made their decision to purchase their #UrbanCastle based on the video and commentary. Their purchase process was negotiated, protected, and shepherded from Offer-to-Settlement by our capable team. Each video component enables our clients to make critical decisions about how their homes are presented to consumers of real estate and where they choose to live.

Brett is the neighborhood expert of choice in DC’s 16th Street Heights, where he has lived since 2009, and has been instrumental in forging strong relationships between Uptown Farmers Market and the community. He has also formerly served as co-chair for the Community Alliance for Upper Fourteenth Street (CAUFS), on the Board of Directors for Uptown Main Street, and is a loyal sponsor of Uptown Farmers Market as well as the performing arts program at West Education Campus. He also takes great pride in heightening favorable exposure for neighborhood businesses.

Brett's expertise spans the DC Metro Area - from Ashburn, Virginia, to Bowie, Maryland, and Frederick, Maryland, to Stafford, Virginia. And in strategic partnership with Leading Real Estate Companies of the World, the #UrbanCastle Team is able to pinpoint real estate professionals at the top of their game in every corner of the globe.

Having grown up in San Diego, Los Angeles, Tehran, and Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, he is an alumnus of Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, where he earned a B.A. in Communications. Prior to joining Corcoran McEnearney, he spent a quarter-century providing strategic communications counsel to a variety of Fortune 500 companies, elected officials, and start-ups.
