Yolanda M. Mamone, Associate Broker, McEnearney
Prior to her Real Estate career, Yolanda M. Mamone spent 14 years working in Higher Education in Boston, Massachusetts. During that time frame she completed a Master’s in Education at Boston College as well as course work and comprehensive examinations for a doctoral degree.
Ms. Mamone was licensed as an Associate Broker in Massachusetts in 1979 and Received reciprocity as an Associate Broker in Washington, D.C. in 1979. She has the distinction of practicing as a Buyer Broker in 1979 with Diversified Properties Incorporated, Bethesda, Maryland.
She affiliated with Shannon & Luchs, Residential Sales where she sold residential real estate throughout Washington, D.C., specializing in Capital Hill and upper Northwest D.C.
Yolanda began her management career in real estate in Dupont Circle where her accolades included mentoring sales associate to award winning heights, both at Shannon & Luchs and the Washington D.C. Association of Realtors. In 1985 she was promoted to Regional Manager for Ann Arundel and Prince Georges County. She oversaw opening branch offices in Annapolis, Severna Park, and Crofton in addition to 5 other offices in that region.
In 1989 she returned to D.C. and to branch management in Washington, D.C. with Shannon & Luchs and later Weichert Realtors.
In l995 she affiliated with Randall Hagner, Ltd. where she developed and quadrupled the size of the Residential Division.
In May, 2008 she affiliated with McEnearney as a Co-Broker Manager in the Washington/MD McEnearney Office.
Throughout her career, Ms. Mamone has actively participated in Realtor associations in Washington, Prince George’s County, Ann Arundel County, and Montgomery County. She has served and/or chaired following committees: Arbitration, Grievance, Education, Realtor Fair, Public Relations, Nominating, and Steering. Most recently she has served on the Board of Directors for both the Greater Capitol Area Association of Realtors and The Washington, D.CAssociation of Realtors. Additionally, she was President of the WDCAR; Vice President of GCAAR.
She was awarded the Certified Real Estate Brokerage Management designation in 1999 as well as the Certified Residential Real Estate designation in 2012. Less than 3% of REALTORS hold this designation. She has recently completed requirements for the CRS Short Sale and Foreclosure certification.
She now specializes in residential sales in Washington, DC as well as Montgomery County, and McLean and Arlington, VA. Her recent sales and listings have been in The Colonnade as well as other condominium buildings in Wesley and Cathedral Heights in Washington, DC. She set the record for the highest sold listing in The Colonnade for all of 2015 and 2016. In 2016 two of her sales were the highest selling prices attained.
Her outside interests include travel, the theater, ballet, opera, gardening, music and art of every kind, as well as playing Bridge. She has recently completed 4 series of acting classes at Studio Theater Acting Conservatory in Washington. She is a member of the Women’s Committee of the National Symphony Orchestra and the Washington Committee of the National Cathedral. She has called Washington, DC home since 1979 having lived in Capital Hill, Chevy Chase, Cleveland Park, the Palisades, and Wesley Heights.
