After 40 years in journalism, James Morrison decided to change careers and took the road less traveled by -- at least for an old newspaperman. He became a real estate agent and joined his wife, Suzanne, who has been an agent with McEnearney for more than 25 years.
James may be new to the profession of real estate, but he is no stranger to Alexandria. He has lived in the city since the 1970s when he worked for the Alexandria Gazette when it was a daily newspaper. James’ writing career also includes The Washington Times and Newsmax. He retired from journalism last October.
James and Suzanne, who both have Scottish ancestry, are active in local Scottish-American events. James is excited to enter the real estate business, which he considers one of the last vestiges of the free-market system where a willing buyer is prepared to buy what a willing seller is prepared to sell.
