Since entering real estate in 1991, Karen Trainor has negotiated very difficult transactions with grace and ease, and satisfied the needs of many clients who’ve sought her expertise and guidance. She is an Associate Broker, and holds real estate licenses in Virginia, Maryland and Washington, D.C.
Karen began her career in sales at another prominent brokerage firm in Virginia, earning a spot as a top-producing agent before being named Managing Broker. She served in that role for 16 years, and was proudly named NVAR Manager of the Year in 2008. Karen later joined McEnearney, drawn to its integrity, strength in the marketplace, and adherence to the high.est standards.
Specializing in all of Northern Virginia, with a focus on Northern Virginia, Karen also sells property throughout the D.C. Metro area. She has received recognition over the years for her performance, and is an active member of her industry. Karen was named Realtor of the Year by the Northern Virginia Association of Realtors (NVAR) in 2012, was NVAR Chairman of the Board in 2011, and is a member of the NVAR Executive Committee. In 2010, she was chosen as a participant in the Virginia Association of Realtors Leadership Academy. Karen was also inducted into the National Association of Realtors Omega Tau Rho Fraternity, an honorary real estate society for those who have excelled.
Born and raised in Falls Church, Virginia and Washington, D.C., Karen attended Ohio University and American University, earning a B.S. in Business Administration. She has always worked in sales and marketing, initially for a lease finance company in D.C. where she managed the office.
A resident of McLean, Karen hopes that all people have the opportunity to own their own home. She will guide you through the process, and connect you with the right financial and legal professionals. When not busy working, her favorite pastimes including painting in watercolor and acrylic, and spending time with her grown son and senior Jack Russell Terrier.
