When people ask what Jerry Thatcher specializes in, her answer is always the same…”I specialize in nice people.” Since 2002, she has been tremendously grateful that the majority of her real estate business comes from referrals from her satisfied clients. Jerry genuinely cares about her sellers and buyers, during, and long after the transaction has closed. As she puts it, “When you know how much I care, you’ll care how much I know,” a philosophy that has built her success, and her reputation for providing the ultimate personal service.
As an expert listing agent, one of her many strengths is pricing. Jerry’s listings have sold far quicker (6 days on average) and for more money (99.53% of the list price) than the industry average! Staging services are a special bonus for sellers, to showcase their homes in the best light and command the highest price. She also represents buyers and renters throughout Northern Virginia who are seeking their dream home at the best value. Her excellent track record, deep passion, and industry accolades, including being an NVAR Top Producer and Lifetime Multimillion-Dollar Club Member, have led to her mentoring numerous agents as well.
With twenty-two years of experience in the real estate industry, Jerry offers seasoned expertise coupled with McEnearney's exceptional tools and marketing resources to exceed client expectations. Teamwork is an equal priority when working with her sellers and buyers. “This collaboration is especially important as a listing agent, to get our sellers homes sold quickly and seamlessly!”
Born in Knoxville, Tennessee, Jerry lived in Miami, Florida until moving to the Northern Virginia/DC area in 1989. Prior to real estate, she was a critical care and surgical nurse trained to quickly assess situations, and provide the highest ethics and communication, as she does in real estate. Jerry is licensed in Virginia, and a member of the NVAR, VAR and NAR. She is also very passionate and supportive of Ronald McDonald Charities since losing her six-year-old son to Wilm’s Tumor. Her grown children, Ashley and Garrett, grandchildren Hudson and Rowan, and husband David, a Naval Academy graduate, are the lights of her life.
