I am a licensed Realtor® specializing in mid to upper-bracket properties in Old Town and Alexandria City environs. I moved to Alexandria from South Africa in 2001 accompanied by my two big dogs and was quickly rooted to the dog community and all that Old Town has to offer, including its beautiful historic human-scale architecture. I also like its accessibility to the East Coast and the European continent.
I am action-oriented, energetic, and well-organized - the type who knows how to get things done. I plan a strategy that pinpoints my client’s needs and determines how we’re going to meet them. I produce the figures and analyses to back up my intuition. I also have a lot of patience and treat my clients like friends from the get-go, giving them lots of feedback along the way.
Realtors, generally have a wealth of information on macro stats and market conditions which they can bring to their clients’ attention so they get a bigger picture of what is happening in the market. I deem this essential to any transaction. I enjoy all my transactions and always look forward to helping buyers and sellers achieve the satisfaction that comes with a successful move.
Before becoming a Realtor®, I worked as a fundraiser for a national charitable institution which helped me connect with many of the associations in the area. I am currently a supporter of The Christian Community and a non-profit called Child Justice Inc. Before my arrival in Old Town, I lived and worked in publishing and public relations in London and traveled extensively in Europe.
In South Africa, I ran my own public relations firm for 20 years focusing on design and editorial services. I still thrive on finding a unique selling proposition for properties which I reflect in marketing and photography. I love a home with a good aspect and, if necessary, will engage the services of a stager to maximize its showing potential. This has proven fruitful to sellers.
