Joan Fallows’ career in real estate is inspired by her passion for connecting people and homes. “There is no better feeling than helping someone work through a series of major decisions that add joy to their daily existence.”
She saves her clients’ time and stress by providing them with a series of small action steps to follow, at the end of which they have seamlessly and successfully accomplished their purpose of buying or selling a home. Her thorough knowledge of the area real estate market ensures accurate pricing of homes. Joan works with some of the best photographers and designers in the region to prepare her listings for sale. She also coordinates with other experienced professionals to streamline transactions.
Joan believes that everyone deserves to live in a home that makes their heart sing. Her selling style is low-key. She keeps her clients informed of changes in the real estate market and keeps them grounded in reality. Always, the clients decide for themselves, after a detailed analysis of the rational factors involved. They choose what is best for them with her guidance.
Joan constantly reviews the market, from the new listings offered for sale to local and national real estate trends that might affect her clients and their investments. She is always available for consultation about real estate matters and open to learning new skills and ideas to add to her knowledge. Joan enjoys helping first-time buyers, and takes pleasure in assisting her long-time clients and their friends buy and sell as their families grow and needs change.
A native of Philadelphia, Joan resides in Capitol Hill. She has a background in the arts, specializing in photography. Prior to selling real estate, Joan taught photography at the college level and at The Smithsonian Institution. She reads history for pleasure, likes researching the early history of Washington, DC, and has fun cooking for her family and friends in her free time. Joan is also a member of the Capitol Hill Garden Club and a supporter of the US Botanic Garden.
